You are only a minute's walk to the beach. You are on Butler Avenue where you get a birds eye view of all what goes on; parades, marathons, etc. come right by the house! Walking distance to the lighthouse, pier & pavilion, visitor centr, coffe bar, ice cream shack, restaurants, gym, Memorial Park w/tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, children's play ground w/super playground equipment, bike, scooter, surfboard & kayak rentals, bank, quaint shops, beach shops, library to check out books & movies, etc.
Fort Pulaski National Park: This park includes a shaded picnic area, exhibits, nature trails, wild life, visitor center, gift shop, musket demonstrations and ranger-guided tours of the fort are offered daily, Exciting cannon firings on Saturdays and also watch for large ocean liners/ships passing the Savannah River heading for Savannah's Port. Tybee Island Lighthouse: Visit Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse and Museum with artifacts and exhibits of 400 yrs. of Tybee's history. It is open 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily (closed on Tuesdays & major holidays). Tybee Island Marine Science Center: The aquarium features local marine life, reptiles, a touch pool, and a gift shop.
