This beautifully restored cottage has southern exposure and walk through layout with front porch - entering the front door into the living room, bedroom, dining room and kitchen with an exit through the back door to a lovely back yard. This lovely cottage is perfect for a couple or family of three for a month long holiday. It is furnished with a combination of antique, mid-century modern and new contemporary pieces. The bathroom has a vintage claw foot tub.
The bedroom has a queen size bed or can convert to a twin with trundle. For the extra guest or third family member, there is a sofa bed in the living room. Bedding linens and towels are provided.
Ocean Grove, designated a national historic landmark, is a beautiful beach town on the Jersey Shore replete with Victorian charm and summer activities, making this a true vacation destination! Free outdoor concerts and happenings most days; wide beaches with lifeguards on duty and snack bar; plenty of local eateries; quaint stores and boutiques; friendly people and neighbors; and colorful homes, scenic parks, gardens and history to delight the senses. Ocean Grove is easy to get to by train, bus or car from NYC. It has been called the "Jewel of the Jersey Shore" and "New Jersey's Best Kept Secret." For local culture (music and theater) there is the Great Auditorium at Ocean Grove and the PNC Bank Arts Center is a short drive away. Within walking distance to the north of Ocean Grove is historic Asbury Park with its revitalized downtown, upscale shops, galleries, diverse restaurants and entertainment, redesigned boardwalk and well kept beach. At the southern edge of town, across from Fletcher Lake, is lovely Bradley Beach with many restaurants, eclectic mix of stores and wide beaches. Area towns along the water and inland provide plenty of scenic drives, antique shops, art galleries, golf, biking and other recreational activities.
