Enjoy the coziness of the living room fireplace after a sunset walk on the boardwalk. Take your morning coffee on the porch or to the boardwalk to watch the beautiful sunrises or check out the full moon rising over the ocean. Enjoy the beautiful sea breezes that cross ventilate your south-facing apartment. Try living at the beach before you decide to purchase a home at the shore or use our place to celebrate summer at its best.
This is a second and third floor, south-facing apartment on the front of the house. A separate entrance takes you to the second floor living room, media/guest bedroom, office/guest bedroom, and deck. On the third floor you'll find the kitchen, bathroom, and master bedroom and a second deck.
Please bring your own bed linens, pillows and personal towels. Full-sized sheets are used in the master bedroom and on the futon while twin sheets are needed for the pullout chair beds. Mattresses are protected with freshly laundered covers and blankets are provided. Kitchen linens are also provided.
Ocean Grove is an amazing town. We are one block from a great, old-fashioned, hometown main street (written up in the NY Times Real Estate section in July 2005). You'll feel as if you've stepped back in time. Main Ave has wonderful shops, antique stores and art galleries, banks, cleaners, laundromat, personal and professional services. A small grocery store, great entertainment and events year round, and excellent BYOB restaurants all within walking distance make this a town in which a car is unnecessary. If someone in your family enjoys fishing or surfing, you can see from the house whether the surf is up or the fishing is good. Lots of Victorian architecture make wandering a pleasure, and photographers will have a field day.
Commuting time is just over one hour from NYC from the nearby train station in Asbury Park. A NJ Transit bus stops on Main Ave. and takes you to Port Authority. One-half hour drive away, the ferry from Sandy Hook quickly reaches lower Manhattan. The revived boardwalk in Asbury Park and shops/restaurants on Cookman Ave. are worth exploring. Family events are held some evenings on the Ocean Grove beach, outdoor concerts are available, weekly fireworks on the Asbury Park beach, and the events at the Great Auditorium make for great family fun. The Jersey Shore Outlets are a short drive away if shopping is your fun. For rainy days, the Monmouth Museum is a little known treasure for kids and adults alike.

Check in time is after 4 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time and check-out is 10 AM Eastern Daylight Savings time. No early check-in or late stays.
A damage/reservation deposit of 10% is required. If pets are accompanying you, there is an extra 5% security fee. Fees must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit on arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within 14 days of departure providing terms of the rental agreement are met. Advance payment of 50% of the rental rate is required 60 days before arrival; this is applied toward the rent. The balance of the rent is due 14 days prior to arrival.
60 day notice is required for cancellations. Those made more than 60 days prior to arrival will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of arrival forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure after final payment is made does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
Sales taxes are applied as required by NJ law.
Cats or small to mid-sized dogs are welcome. Pets must be up-to-date with vaccinations and flea/tick protection. We do not accept breeds that are considered dangerous, e.g. pit bulls, Rottweilers, or Dobermans, regardless of their age or size. We do not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
