Perfect accommodation for the Sea Hear Now Festival - a beautiful 20 minute walk to Convention Hall in Asbury Park. During the Summer, we rent by the week on a Friday-to-Friday basis. You may group together as many weeks as you’d like. Labor Day Weekend can be reserved as a three-night stay or it can be grouped together as a ten-night stay with the week prior.
Chadwick Cottage is available for every season & holiday – Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years. During most of the year, our minimum stay is two or three nights. Excellent discounts available for weekly stays during the Spring, Fall & Winter.
Save up to 30% on your stay by booking on this website. This home is exempt from New Jersey's 11.625% tax on vacation rental homes when reserved on this website. You will also avoid the service fee charged by websites like Airbnb and VRBO by booking here. This website charges no service fee. Airbnb & VRBO charge a service fee that ranges from 9% - 20%.
We supply eight season beach badges to the Ocean Grove Beach. We also supply eight beach chairs, three beach umbrellas, one beach rolling cart and 10 beach towels.
We have a Samsung Smart TV in the Living Room that is connected to the Internet for streaming apps such as: Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBOmax, etc. Just login to your account on any of the apps of your choice. Live TV is also provided via the coaxial cable connection for broadcast channels.

Chadwick Cottage is a Stunning historic Queen Anne Victorian built in 1882 in Ocean Grove, New Jersey, USA. Ocean Grove is a National Historic District. This Stunning home is available as both a Vacation Rental and as a Filming Location. It was completely restored, updated and professionally decorated and landscaped in 2001. Chadwick Cottage is just a two minute walk to all the quaint shops & restaurants on Ocean Grove's Main Avenue. And it's just a quick five minute walk across the charming footbridge over Wesley Lake to all the hip bars, restaurants, shops, art galleries, theaters & music venues in Asbury Park.
There are also tons of great activities for kids: Surfing Lessons at the Summertime Surf School, Arcade Games at the Silverball Museum (180 games - pinball, skeeball, video games), Asbury Splash Park, Asbury Miniature Golf, Glassblowing workshops at the Hot Sand glassblowing studio, Paint Your Own Ceramics at the Git Fired Up ceramics studio, etc. It's no wonder that Fodor's named Ocean Grove as one of its 15 Best Beaches for 2014.
Layout And Extras
This home is 2,000 square feet. It has a large, shaded front porch and side porch that overlook beautiful plantings.
On the first floor, this beautiful, spacious home features a large foyer with a front staircase and powder room, a living room with a corner wood burning fireplace and stained glass windows, a dining room with a corner wood burning fireplace, stained glass windows and a glass pass-thru to the cook's kitchen.
The kitchen features custom glass cabinetry, a double under-mount sink with garbage disposal, extensive marble countertops and stainless steel appliances. Off the kitchen, there is a bar room perfect for mixing cocktails and brewing morning coffee, this room also features an under-mount sink, extensive marble countertops, a professional ice-maker, and custom cabinetry including a pantry that hides a full-sized front-loading stacked washer and dryer. Also off the kitchen is a large back foyer that contains antique cabinetry and a back staircase.
Upstairs features four private bedrooms, two of these bedrooms feature queen-sized beds and stained glass windows, two feature full-sized beds. Each bedroom features either extensive clothes closets or large wardrobes and dressers. There is also a large linen closet and a storage closet.
Upstairs also has two beautiful full bathrooms. The front bathroom features an historic claw foot tub/shower, stained glass windows and marble sink. The back bathroom features a beautiful glass enclosed stall shower with a cascade shower head that releases a 'soft rain' flow of water from the ceiling. The back bathroom also has an antique pedestal sink.

In the Neighborhood
The Asbury Park Boardwalk and Cookman Avenue Shopping District host Summer Bonfires on the beach (Fridays in June& September, Wednesdays in July & August) and everyday amusements such as pinball at the Silverball Museum, a whimsical WaterPark for kids, a miniature golf course, and glass-blowing at Hot Sand. The music scene in Asbury Park also remains a staple for visitors. The famed Stone Pony which launched the careers of Bruce Springsteen and John Bon Jovi continues to be a sentimental favorite while Convention Hall, Wonder Bar, The Saint, Paramount Theatre and green spaces along the boardwalk play host to bands and other performers year-round. There is not a day that goes by without live music in Asbury Park. Many guests at our house like to rent bicycles at the Ocean Grove Hardware Store on Main Avenue in Ocean Grove or at Asbury Cyclery in Asbury Park. The area's flat terrain makes for easy riding for people of all ages.

House Rules
1. We require all guests to review, complete and sign a lease agreement when they reserve our home.
2. Guests will also sign a form to confirm town inspected house prior to check-in to ensure safety compliance (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, GFIs, etc.)
3. We do not allow folks to play music on the porches at any time. And we instate quiet hours on the porches between the hours of 10PM and 7AM. We do not allow folks to blast music in the house at any time. Please be respectful of our neighbors at all times.
4. We do not allow parties with guests other than those listed on the lease agreement to be hosted on the premises.
5. No pets.
6. No smoking in the house.
7. Although our house sleeps 8 people, Neptune Township (Ocean Grove is a Hamlet in Neptune Township) believes one of our bedrooms is a bit tight for two people. So Neptune Township has set the occupancy of our house at 7 people.
50% deposit due at booking. 50% balance due 30 days before check-in. We also require a $1,000 damage deposit that is fully refundable.

We spent a family Christmas at Chadwick Cottage, and it was a total delight from start to finish. Had two warmish days to walk on the boardwalk, two fireplaces inside to gather round, a fantastic kitchen to prepare meals in, four comfortable beds upstairs. We were all enchanted and had a terrific time. Thank you, Jim!

#259. Lovely home for our Thanksgiving Weekend!
Chadwick Cottage in Ocean Grove is a really lovely home, mixing old world architecture with modern touches and conveniences.
The artwork, books, magazines and history of the house made for good conversation and an interesting and homey feel.
The furnishings are comfortable, clean and inviting. The kitchen is so well-equipped! We cooked Thanksgiving dinner there and whatever I may have forgotten from home or overlooked, we found in one of the many pantries, cupboards and cabinets. The appliances are all newish, modern and very clean.
We loved being a short 3 block walk to the beach and boardwalk and town with its shops and restaurants. We walked a short distance into Asbury Park via the boardwalk.
Jim, the owner, was so nice in our dealings, and when I needed him for a passcode, he answered immediately.
The house is exactly as represented on the VRBO website.
This was a very positive experience and we hope to rent there again in the spring!
