Beautiful, Quaint Ocean Grove. An old fashioned Victorian Seaside town from another time. My home is walkable from the NJ Transit, Asbury Park stop and both Ocean Grove and Asbury is easily walkable from the house. Only 4 blocks to the beach & 2 blocks from the Great Auditorium. My home away from home is also yours to enjoy. Everything you need to make your time here relaxing and stress free. Available for Summer and Winter rental. Special Winter Rates!!!
Layout And Extras
SMALL, potty trained dogs will be considered and sorry cat lovers, No cats. I must respect all my guests and allergies. Additional pet fee of $150. There is also NO smoking on the premises, inside our out. Ocean Grove properties are very old and we must be very careful.

In the Neighborhood
Ocean Grove is a dry town so alcohol is not served in restaurants but you are welcome to bring your own and there is no corkage fee. Some restaurants in Asbury Park have also adopted this very nice idea.
Nearby Attractions
The Great Auditorium only 2 blocks from the house. See greats like Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, The Beach Boys! Festivals, Craft Fairs, Flea Markets and many activities year round. Asbury only 1 block to footbridge with attractions restaurants. Boardwalk, water park, dog park, glass blowing, bowling and so much more!

Michael was an awesome host. Great guy and helpful when needed. His house gives you that 100 year old Victorian shore house experience. The place is extremely well kept and has a great location, 5 Blocks from the beach and steps to Asbury Park.

#573. Gorgeous Home, Gorgeous Block, Gorgeous Ocean Grove
We moved into 98 1/2 Mt. Carmel Ave. this last Oct. 15. We'd met its owner during the summer, a fabulous, very
talented and funny guy who we're now friends with, Michael Louis. We stayed all winter and most of spring. I cannot
tell you what a joy his house was. It's so charming, filled with books and art, a living room with a grand cable TV,
an adjoining dining room, a great kitchen, two nicely sized bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, a backyard dining area, and a
fabulous front porch that lets you gaze out onto one of the most beautiful blocks in one of the most beautiful towns—Mt. Carmel.
On the north side of Ocean Grove.
Trees thrive alll around, swaying in luscious breezes. Two stately squares are right nearby, brimming with high, twisting trees that look like they're dancing against the sky. The pristine, almost unimaginably charming Main Ave, with all its shops and restaurants is only 3 blocks south, and...a fabulous added attraction...the moonlit stroll over Wesley Lake to all the great restaurants in
Asbury is a block away. You're at Belmontes, Brando's, whatever, in 10 minutes and the wine-soaked stroll back with
the Jersey night sparkling right above like something out of an early Springsteen song, is even lovelier.
You've got the ocean just 5 blocks away, you can hear it at night and taste it in the breeze. Bradley Beach with their surplus
of great restaurants is within easy walking distance. Michael's home is comforting, charming, he's a fabulous host,
always ready to help and make you laugh, and the neighbors...John and Ginger two doors down, Mike and Janet
across the street, and the fabulous "Davids" right next to them—we'd never known them before, and we had a great
six months getting to know them through many, many fabulous meals in so many great restaurants, or homes, or on porches,
and the laughter, and great, intelligent conversation and wine, of course, made these experiences even lovelier.
Get a used bike for 60 bucks across Rte. 71. You'll love it. And enjoy a flake of Paradise while it lasts. We love
98 1/2 Mt. Carmel.

#392. Great time at Michael’s!
We spent a couple of months here this year, and we loved it! You go to Ocean Grove for the charm, and you get a lot of it at Michael’s house! The home is so cozy and has such character, yet it also has modern conveniences. The kitchen is updated and fully equipped with everything you need, and there is also a full-sized washer and dryer! The front porch swing is a great spot for people-watching and the back patio is perfect for private outdoor morning breakfasts. The master bedroom is large and comfy, and the second bedroom great for a guest or even as a home office for those who work remotely during vacation. Our only complaint was that the only bathroom is on the second floor. But it was not a big deal—our Fitbits approved!
The location is ideal—a very short walk across the footbridge to the heart of Asbury! The boardwalk is less than a 10-minute walk. Pathway Market is a 5-minute walk, as is Main Street.
Michael was an extremely helpful and friendly host. He was very responsive to our questions and he even contacted us after we left to let us know about personal belongings we had left behind and offered to mail them back to us--without our even asking. He definitely goes above and beyond as a host. We really enjoyed our stay at Michael’s and would definitely go back.
