#1118. An excellent place for reading or relaxing while catching the ocean breezes

Our family recently spent 3 nights at Mary's beautiful bungalow in Ocean Grove and we highly recommend this rental. The historic property has been lovingly renovated into a delightful vacation home, perfect for visiting the shore. The space is great for a couple or small family with a large, open kitchen featuring a bounty of tools and appliances, including a washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms and a living room with generous seating. Best of all is the front porch, shaded by vintage-look striped awnings. An excellent place for reading or relaxing while catching the ocean breezes. The ocean is a short walk from the house and Mary was exceptionally generous to include 2 beach season passes with the rental. Mary was quick to answer all of our pre-visit questions and greeted us upon arrival with her delightfully friendly canine companion Zack. Ocean Grove is always a treat to visit; staying at Mary's place made it all the more enjoyable.

#1117. Look forward to staying at Mary’s again.

Mary is a kind and very accommodating host. Her house is a true gem. Close to the beach, quiet street, friendly neighbors, beautiful large covered porch and giant kitchen for cooking. The pictures don’t do it justice! My wife and son had a wonderful time and we all look forward to staying at Mary’s again.

#1116. Prettier than the pictures

The cottage is even prettier than the pictures. Lots of windows plus a skylight in the kitchen make it bright and cheerful, while easy to use cellular shades give plenty of privacy in the evening. Beds and pillows are cozy and comfortable, and there is plenty of seating in the living room. My favorite spot was the armchair by the window for relaxing with a good book. The location was on the quieter end of town, but still an easy walk to Main Street and just a few blocks from the beach and beginning of the boardwalk. In summer, chairs and umbrellas are available for rent, and there is a really great snack bar with acai and yogurt bowls, as well as more traditional hotdogs, so there is no need to carry anything but your beach towel and your sunscreen. In the evening, you can sit on the porch and see the lake, just a block away. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning!
