#452. Great house and area

My best friend and our families finally managed to get away together after all these years and I’m happy to say we couldn’t have picked a better “home” to stay in. Centrally locates to Asbury and the beach. We had a wonderful time, thank you

#345. Ideal Beach House

Fantastic property and location to walk to beach and restaurants. Once we parked, we never got back in the car!

#344. Charming, fun and relaxing

To start, Natalie and Bard's home is gorgeous and comfortable. It's beautifully decorated, comfortable and has everything you need to feel at home. My two young girls loved the bunk beds and I really appreciated not having to haul my own pack and play for the baby. My 4 year old thought the ice maker was the best thing on earth. The beach passes, beach chairs and yard helped made our week extra fun. Ocean Grove is an interesting and charming town that took me back to my own childhood beach vacations. And the food! Between OG and Asbury Park, we were in walking distance of NJ's newest food mecca. In short, Natalie and Bard are the perfect hosts, their home is lovely and we had a blast. We hope to come back next summer!

#346. Amazing Stay by the Beach

Beautiful home with a quiet private patio area and bbq. Great location only a few minutes walk from the beach, bars and restaurants. And a very welcoming and responsive host. Not much else you could ask for. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit.

#347. Our stay was too short!

I surprised my wife with a little weekend away with friends and our kids for her 40th birthday and wish we could have made it a full week. Even slightly before the season and during a somewhat cloudy/rainy weekend, we had a spectacular time staying in Natalie and Bard's charming house. Even with four adults and three kids under 6, it was super comfortable -- we could have even squeezed another family of 3 in there if we wanted!

The house is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed. They even had full sets of plastic dishware for the kids. We did a ton of cooking while we were there and never really felt (as is so often the case with kitchen in a rental) like we were missing something we needed. And the location is great -- close to both Asbury Park and the beach. When not at the house, we spent most of our time checking out the quaint houses in Ocean Grove, eating ice cream at Days, and wandering the boardwalk in Asbury Park. On a rainy day (or even on a sunny one) definitely hit up the Silver Ball Pinball Museum!

And you can't ask for better hosts. Natalie was extremely flexible, allowing us to do a late 1pm checkout on Sunday since there were no other renters. And when the weather didn't look great, she was quick to provide a ton of rainy-day options.

We'll definitely be keeping this on our list of places to return to for a longer stay sometime in the future. Recommended HIGHLY.

#348. Jewel box of a home, close to everything. A dream weekend away

From the second you pull up, you know you are going to have a great trip.

The front porch is adorable and the side yard with its white picket gate is like a fairy tale. Inside is a mix of chic, colorful mid-century items with comfortable, flop on down after a great day at the beach couch. The dining room table will seat up to 7 and there is a light fixture above it that you will want to keep. The paint is all fresh and new and it was sparkling clean.

I can't say enough about how cute this place is and how much fun the owners clearly had bringing color and design to it.

Kitchen and bathrooms are what you want, vintage details with modern upgrades. The cute side and back yard are great for your grilling dinners at home but to be honest, Asbury is steps away over the bridge so we ate out every night!

The beach is a short less than 10 minute walk away but we always went though town first to grab our coffee on the way. We thought we might mind being further away but in the end, we found it was BETTER to stop through town on the way there and back for our meals and to pick up supplies. And the proximity to Asbury but away from the bustle is excellent. Best of both worlds.

The three bedrooms on the second floor are all good sized and would work well for one family but using the attic third floor for kids makes this place a good rental for a multi-generational trip away or two families that are close.

We loved our stay here and will be back!
